The tuned midsole technology, SwellFoam N2™, provides cushion for long runs and enough pop for tempo & interval sessions. The R-1 is the workhorse for any running shoe rotation.

THE TECH BITS

SwellFoam N2™ is our Supercritical Foam midsole technology, ideal for running footwear. It’s partly made from sugar cane, which captures carbon from the atmosphere as it grows and reduces our reliance on traditional, fossil-based materials in production.

SwellFoam N2™ uses a 50/50 cane/fossil composition, a 20% bio increase from the SwellFoam in our training shoe. The Supercritical Foaming process preserves the performance attributes of the midsole compound allowing for the increase in bio content.

We are striving to make a wave of change, and we aren't there yet: but every wave starts with a swell.

BUBBLE TECH

Nitrogen bubbles are used in the Supercritical Foaming process to produce a lighter-weight midsole with higher energy return.

Our midsole hardness is set at 45A +/- 3 to provide cushion and pop during midsole compression to help keep you going mile after mile.
